Where we meet
We meet once a month

virtual
We have had virtual meetings using Skype and a computer.

As we are all busy working people with lives and jobs that take us all over the place, our meetings are scheduled to be the most convenient in a busy week.

So we meet on a Sunday evening once a month.

First Sunday in the Month7:45 for 8pm

As most of us have a young family and are working individuals. So we do not have dinner on these meeting days,

We have a club diary that includes dinners out, picnics, barbecues and formal banquets.

How do I join?

If you like the though of community work and doing good works for the benfit of others then we hop you will considering visiting us.

If you would like to know about the membership process then please read on.

We like you to attend 3 meetings so you can decide if we are the club and organisation for you. These meetings should be at least 2 club meetings and perhaps one social or community event. In this way you can see a broad section of the work we do and the friendship we offer.

There is a fee to joining Rotary and this can vary slightly each year. As we do not have meal when we meet so any further costs are optional. Our annual fee is currently less than £100 and can be paid monthly.

Rotary District 1260 consists of 52 Rotary Clubs spanning the counties of Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire in central southern England.

We are an active, thriving District involved in the full range of Rotary activities across all channels of service covering local, national and international causes. We also support and encourage our Inner Wheel and Rotaract Clubs across the District either directly or via their local Rotary Clubs.

In the past, our District has taken part in Rotary initiatives such as:

  • Life Education Centres
  • The Tsunami appeal
  • Donation of books to a school in South Africa
  • Building a school in rural Zululand.

In addition, there have been many individual projects supported by the clubs that comprise the District 1260 and these include:

  • Mercy Ships
  • The eradicate Polio appeal
  • The Pakistan earthquake disaster
  • Water aid

In addition to our service activities, we also celebrate our fellowship and achievements at an annual District Conference, the last one held March 2006 in Bournemouth.
