Rotary Easter Showcase

EXCITE the kids this Easter with a trip to the Rotary Clubs’ spectacular ‘showcase’ at central Milton Keynes featuring volunteers from all over Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire.

Watch the smile on your youngsters’ faces as they build a Lego helicopter, play Wii Wimbledon tennis or ride a bucking bronco in Middleton Hall, the centre:MK, on Saturday, March 22.

More than 20 Clubs will be exhibiting at the free event, which aims to raise awareness of the work carried out by Rotary and the large number of local, national and international charities it supports.

Thousands of shoppers will get the chance to see and find out about some of the charities that have benefited from Rotary’s work, such as air ambulances, children’s hospices and community support groups.

And as well as the live stage performances featuring singers, dancers and cheerleaders, there’s a chance to win a great prize in the photography competition.

Talented ‘snappers’ from the ages of five to 100 are invited to bring along on the day either their prints or digital files (on CD) for the chance to win a camera, printer and book tokens, as judged by an expert from photographic legends Kodak.

There is also an Easter egg competition for children.

A Rotary spokesman said: “This is a fabulous opportunity for families to experience some of the fun and fellowship that is part of the great Rotary family, as well as see at first hand what Rotary does".

“See also the great opportunities available to young people through Rotary plus some of the terrific work they do themselves.
